Specifically, despite the Trump Administration attempt.

From January 29 (the day the President's Coronavirus Task Force to lead the U.S. government response to the coronavirus was formed) to March 18 (the deadline for this report), the United States resettled 3,037 refugees, including 19 Iranians (Iran is one of the countries particularly affected by the coronavirus). The day after the deadline for the report, March 19, two more refugees were admitted into the United States, both from Syria. …”

Incredibly, the “Refugees” were resettled in States already Suffering the highest levels of CoronaVirus Infections.

“…The top-10 states where refugees were resettled from January 29, 2020 to March 18, 2020, according to official U.S. government Refugee Processing Center portal are as follows: California: 341; Washington, 274; Texas, 207; New York, 201; Kentucky, 155; Ohio, 148; Michigan, 118; Illinois, 113; Pennsylvania, 106; and Arizona, 95….”

Now there is some (albeit conflicting) evidence that President Trump has stopped Refugee Resettlement for now.

However, True or Not, it could be restarted at any time.

And Legal and Illegal Immigration continue to Burgeon.

In California, as well as elsewhere in the Leftist-run cities of the US, disease is an accepted “virtue-signaling” opportunity. As a result, the illegal carriers are entitled to all the U.S. Taxpayers-funded Benefits to which all the Legal Immigrants (400,000 per year! – U.S. Census) who already settle ANNUALLY in California alone, are entitled.

Those Benefits (NOT generally accorded to American Citizens) include “Free” Medical Care, Welfare, Food Stamps, Section 8 Housing etc., which nearly 70% of those 400,000 use and which the NET (after subtracting Taxes Immigrants pay) Cost is $758 Million per Year per every Congressional District in the USA (see CCN Net Costs Study) not including additional State and Local costs.

One Extraordinary Consequence of this Taxpayer-subsidized 400,000 Annual Legal Immigrant Flow into California, and the 1.2 Million into other States, is that the subsidized Immigrants are able to displace the lowest American Wage Earners from Housing. Frankly, this intensifying displacement is one Main (but not only) Cause of Homelessness!

So given the foregoing, it was, last November, Critical to Stop S.386 and to stop Senator Lee (AKA “the Senator from Mumbai”) from Merging S.386 with Senator Durbin’s (D-IL) Open Borders “RELIEF” ACT (a de facto Open Borders/Unlimited Legal Immigration Bill).

Unfortunately, though we and our ASAP! Coalition Allies temporarily stopped it, Senators Durbin and Lee did a Midnight Bill Merger just before the end of the December, 2019 session and we expect an attempt to pass this Merged Bill in the Senate just after the Virus Peak [ed. addition 3/31/20]. Worse, in addition, the House also passed and sent to the Senate, H.R. 5038 and H.R. 6 which could also be merged after the peak [ed. addition 3/31/20].

And as well, the outrageous “New Way Forward Act”, H.R. 5383, would require U.S. Taxpayers to pay for the return to the USA of Convicted and Deported Illegal Alien Criminals and H.R 5038 would:

  • Amnesty 1.5 Million Illegal Alien farmworkers and give them Green Cards, a Path to Citizenship and would fund the aforementioned Benefits (Health Care etc.) and additionally provide money for Housing Assistance! More housing displacement and suffering for our poorest Citizens!

And H.R. 6 would not only Amnesty the 10 Million Plus DACAs but also the Millions on Temporary Protected Status, with all the aforementioned Benefits!

And the ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES are Negative too:  While population growth often increases aggregate GDP, it always (no Nation is an exception) reduces per capita GDP, which is the best test of a Nation’s Wealth and individual well-being.

In sum, The Great Threat is that when it becomes apparent that we are just getting over the “Hump” of CoVID-19 Spread, we expect the Open Borders lobby to redouble efforts to pass ALL the aforementioned Open Borders Bills with predictable Consequences as we have listed in many previous Action Alerts.

Bottom Line: World Population increases by 80 Million per year! Thus the pressure to come to the USA from overpopulated areas will only increase.

Now, with the Corona Pandemic Raging, the USA is suffering yet another Negative Consequence of Globalism (as opposed to Nationalism and Internationalism). Over two decades ago, BALANCE co-sponsored a “Lifeboat USA” Conference. “Lifeboat USA” says it all. We must do all we can to protect our already dangerously overcrowded National lifeboat from sinking. This requires:

  • An immediate all-categories-included Zero-Net Moratorium on Legal immigration
  • USA production of all essential Goods, Materials and Services (China now produces over 80% of all pharmaceuticals including Penicillin!)
  • Close the Borders to Illegal Entry. Consider further Disease Consequences of Not doing that on which BALANCE reported in April 2019.

The Solution is to end the Visa Lottery, and Chain Migration and Birthright Citizenship and above all to Limit the overall Numbers via an all-categories-included Zero-Net Moratorium.

We reiterate: to reduce the number of Illegals, it is essential to dramatically reduce the number of Legal “Slots” (e.g., the uncapped Asylee Category) which serve as a Magnet for their coming!

So tell Congress NOW You want

  • Enactment of an all-Categories-included Zero-NET MORATORIUM (i.e., where Immigration equals Emigration, i.e., about 150,000 per year)) on Legal Immigration! and
  • Complete funding for The Wall
  • Implementation of e-Verify
  • An end to
    • Catch and Release
    • unlimited grants of Asylum
    • Chain Migration
    • Anchor Baby citizenship
